Car manufacturers and design ateliers are in a perpetual state of arguing about how cars should really look like. Hardly do the former release a new model, the latter instantly turn it into something completely different.
With its fresh styling kit for the latest BMW X3, Dahler is no exception from the rule. The studio has only released an upgrade for the BMW X1 the other day, and now it unveils another one for the 3rd-gen X3 M40i.
The sporty SUV looks dark and even hostile with the kit installed. There are new side mirrors, a jet-black body lacquering, new light alloy wheels, a couple of Dahler logos, lower suspension, a new exhaust system with twin pipes, and a few custom interior decorations.
The deal includes an engine power boost alongside all of the cosmetic improvements, though. Once a firmware update is installed and a few replacements are made, the engine goes up from the stock 355 hp (265 kW) to 414 hp (309 kW). Its torque also goes up from 500 Nm (369 lb·ft) to 630 Nm (465 lb·ft).
Dahler stays silent on the dynamic characteristics of the modded X3 M40i, but the production vehicle accelerates 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 4.8 seconds.
