As you may know, BMW did not mess with the power of its recently facelifted X3 M and X4 M models, probably because both had 510 PS (503 hp / 375 kW) to begin with. As usual, German tuner Manhart decided to up the ante.
Both crossover SUVs now rock 635 PS (626 hp / 467 kW) and 785 Nm (579 lb-ft) of torque, largely achieved through a plug-in engine control module called MHTronic. A performance exhaust system with an active valve and quad carbon tailpipes is also included, and 200- and 300-cell catalysts are offered to buyers in regions where these are road-legal.
On the outside, both the MHX3 600 and the MHX4 600 sport a full aerodynamic kit made from carbon fiber, including a front splitter, air intake inserts, new side mirror housings, side flaps, and a rear diffuser. The interior is also awash with carbon and has the tuner’s logos everywhere instead of BMW badges.
Both special editions will be limited to 10 units, and an MHX3 is currently available on the company website for €118,900, or about twice the price of the stock X3 M.
