The car was literally caught on a forklift truck,
which carried a copy for another test drive.
According to the images, the crossover received a
front part with narrowed headlights and a massive radiator grille. The novelty
has changed the shape of the roof lines, which gave the model a greater
elegance.
X4 is built on a scalable CLAR architecture. Thanks to
this, the crossover became noticeably lighter than the previous modification,
losing about 100 kg in weight. The body of the car itself turned out to be
wider and longer, adding space for passengers.
According to BMW, the new X4 will have two modifications.
The petrol version of the X4 M will receive a three-liter six-cylinder engine.
The engine capacity will be 450-460 hp. It will work with an eight-speed
gearbox. In addition, the crossover will be available in a variant with a
hybrid power plant, the composition of which will include a four-cylinder
engine in volume of two liters and an electric motor. The total performance
will be 250 hp.
The second modification of the X4 will be equipped
with a diesel six-cylinder unit with four turbines with a capacity of about 300
hp.
