3D Design announces new stuff for the BMW X4 M40i

Japanese tuner 3D Design has announced a range of upgrades for the latest (G02) BMW X4. Included are a minor body kit, a wheel set and a few interior options.

The kit looks similar to what the company launched for the G01 BMW X3 in June. There is a front spoiler lip, a ducktail-shaped trunk lid spoiler, and an aggressive-looking rear diffuser. All three are made of carbon fiber and fit in rather well with the overall design of the German SUV.

Separately available are 20-inch, bi-color Type 3 wheels that offer an unrestricted view at the brake calipers (M Sport ones in this case).

Among other things, 3D Design offers an ECU tune for the BMW X4. Once applied, it should persuade the stock twin-turbo V6 to raise output from 354 hp (264 kW) to 410 hp (306 kW). Not quite as impressive as the X4 M, but still higher than the Alpina XD4.

Interior upgrades include an enlarged paddle shifter, aluminum pedal pads, and branded floor mats.
