Can a stock BMW X4 M40i pull ahead of a Porsche Macan Turbo in an acceleration race? Let’s say it appears unlikely without mods. Mods it is, then!
The YouTube team of Cars with Pilot Tseno brought us this latest video that pits a mildly tweaked X4 up against an OEM Macan. The V-shaped six-cylinder of the latter looks more capable on paper with its 440 PS (434 hp / 324 kW) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque. It can sprint 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 4.4 seconds and maxes out at 290 km/h (180 miles per hour).
The Bavarian SUV looks humble in comparison with its 360 PS (355 hp / 265 kW) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque. It concludes the sprint in 4.8 seconds. However, this particular example makes use of a €500 Stage 1 upgrade kit that brings it to 410 PS (404 hp / 302 kW).
