There are times when a car design atelier just cannot fulfil all the client’s whims and has to invite a third party to join in on the project. This was exactly the case with the latest collaboration between M Performance and AC Schnitzer Parts on the BMW X4 M40i.
M Performance designed the carbon side mirror holders, while AC Schnitzer Parts produced the spoiler and the rear wing. On the inside, the coupe-SUV received new seats draped in red leather and decorative carbon panels.
From the mechanical point of view, the BMW X4 M40i got new, high-performance brakes and reworked suspension. Its stock 3.0-liter turbocharged engine with 350 hp (261 kW) remained intact.
The ateliers said nothing about the costs associated with the project.
