BMW X5 (G05) M50d xDrive gets two performance upgrades

Tuner mcchip-dkr has been among the first companies worldwide to have released a chip tuning for the diesel-powered SUV BMW X5 (G05) M50d xDrive. Let us see just how much better the figures are with the upgrade installed.

The Stage 1 kit takes the engine from its stock 400 hp (298 kW) and 760 Nm (561 lbft) of torque to 470 hp (350 kW) and 850 Nm (627 lbft). If this is not enough, the Stage 2 kit brings along 515 hp (384 kW) and 865 Nm (638 lbft) of torque.

Neither of the two upgrades necessitates any hardware changes in the BMW X5 (G05) M50d xDrive, as both essentially boil down to a simple ECU remap.

Chances are mcchip-dkr will release more power kits like this in the near future, so stay tuned!
