G-Power pushes out power kits for the BMW X5 M50d, xDrive50i

At around 2,350 kilograms (5,180 lb.) when empty, the new 2019 BMW X5 (G05) is not exactly light. So how does it manage to sprint from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in a matter of five seconds? The answer, of course, lies in the engines the series ships with. There is the M50d version packing a monstrous quad-turbo diesel unit rated at 400 hp (298 kW) and 760 Nm (561 lbft) of torque, and then there is the gas-powered xDrive50i armed with a 4.4-liter, twin-turbo V8 for 462 hp (340 kW) and 600 Nm (443 lbft) of torque. Both are impressive in their own ways, but if for whatever reason you need more, feel free to ask G-Power for an upgrade.

The 2019 BMW X5 M50d can be chip-tuned to produce 475 hp (354 kW) along with 865 Nm (638 lbft) of torque. Once modded, it will only need 4.8 seconds to reach 100 km/h from standstill.

In turn, the range-topping 20019 BMW X5 xDrive50i can be persuaded to yield up to 600 hp (447 kW) and 810 Nm (597 lbft) of torque. This necessitates a V2 upgrade that is not restricted to chip tuning, but also includes changing the downpipes and installing sport-grade catalysts.

Aside from the above, G-Power offers similar power kits for the junior xDrive40i and xDrive30d trims, as well as a whole range of options and accessories for the entire 2019 BMW X5 lineup, including Hurricane RR forged wheels available in sizes up to 23 inches, a new radiator grille, and much more.
