German aftermarket shop JMS Fahrzeugteile has teamed up with Barracuda Wheels and car audio system vendor Gladen to spruce up a plug-in hybrid BMW X5. Let’s see what they came up with.
The crossover SUV ended up with fashionable Barracuda Project X forged rims sized 22 inches across and 10 inches wide. The tuner went for a black finish with vivid blue spokes for contrast. The result is especially compelling juxtaposed against the deep blue body of the car.
The stock air-ride suspension enjoys a moderate lowering, and 22.5mm (0.9”) H&R wheel spacers on the rear axle make sure that the rims fill out their respective arches in the most aesthetic fashion possible. Goodyear Eagle F1 tires sized 285/35 R22 are used throughout.
For its part, Gladen upgrades the interior with a multichannel audio system that serves a dual purpose, entertaining the driver and passengers while warning cyclists and pedestrians about the approaching near-silent PHEV.
