Manhart rolls out its 800-HP BMW X5 M Competition

Shortly after showing us the BMW X7 Dirt Edition at the end of the year, Manhart has now unveiled its own take on the latest X5 M Competition.

As per the tradition, the SUV rocks a gloss-black body kit with rare accents of gold, consisting of a front spoiler, a hood, side skirts, a rear diffuser, and carbon-fiber mirror caps. Boring OEM wheels make way for forged rims sized 22x10.5 inches.

Cabin upgrades boiled down to a new dual-tone leather upholstery and a carbon-trimmed steering wheel with enlarged paddle shifters underneath.

The twin-turbo V8 under the hood was persuaded to produce 823 PS (812 hp / 605 kW) and 1,080 Nm (797 lb-ft), a sizeable improvement over the stock 625 PS (616 hp / 460 kW) and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft). The suspension lost 30mm (1.2”) of height, and the transmission and exhaust system received mods to better cope with the increased load.
