The current-gen BMW X5 M debuted a year and a half ago (see video) and is now getting ready for a mid-life update. The latest bunch of spy photos shows it driven somewhere in North Europe, here carmakers usually send their prototypes for cold weather testing.
It would seem that the scope of changes is kept to a minimum: the headlights are the only noticeable design difference. The bumpers and the side sills are also painted differently from the other details.
The interior should change much more substantially, getting a curved central display like that of the BMW iX and other cutting-edge models.
The 2022 BMW X5 M will likely not debut until next year.
