Poland-based car atelier Auto-Dynamics has developed an upgrade kit for the German BMW X5 M sport coupe. The upgrade raised the performance of the stock 4.4-liter V8 engine to 670 hp (500 kW), which is 20 hp / 15 kW above the peak power output of the Urus engine.
In order to achieve such a spectacular result, the engineers had to reprogram the engine control unit, replace the stock air filter with a more performance-friendly one and install a titanium exhaust system.
The upgraded BMW X5 M has gained a great deal in raw performance, accelerating 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in mere 3.5 seconds instead of the usual 4.2s. The Lamborghini Urus accomplishes the same in 3.7s, which is 0.2s slower than the performance-packed German sport car can do.
There are a few purely aesthetic touches as well. The body of the upgraded BMW X5 M wears matte-black vinyl film, a few carbon garnishes here and there, and black paint where there is no film. It also now rests on lowered Hamann suspension.
Auto-Dynamics didn’t reveal the cost of the upgrade package.
