Manhart announces its 3rd IAA Munich show car

Well-known German tuner Manhart will be coming to the IAA Mobility 2021 with a one-off MH5 GTR, an opulent MH4 GTR, and this 730-PS crossover named the MHX6.

The car pictured here is a BMW X6 M extensively modified from without and from within. Perhaps most noticeably, it sports an aero kit made from the company’s signature material, Forged Carbon. The full set consists of 24 parts, including a front splitter, side mirror caps, fender extensions, side sills, a two-piece rear spoiler, and a rear diffuser.

The marble texture of the carbon details creates a rather unusual contrast against a matte-grey metallic body wrapped in vinyl. 22-inch Manhart Concave One forged wheels fill out the arches, while H&R springs make sure they sit around 30 mm (1.2”) lower in the arches than usual, eliminating what little off-road prowess the X6 M had in the first place.

Power comes from a stock 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 upgrades with an external ECU to deliver 730 PS (720 hp / 537 kW) instead of its usual 625 PS (616 hp / 460 kW). Rounding off the project is a bespoke interior awash with Forged Carbon details and wrapped in black leather with yellow stitching.
