For all its luxury, the BMW X7 lacks an M Performance version, but Manhart has just addressed this issue with a custom spin on the SUV.
Called the MHX7 650, it is essentially just an X7 M50i powered by a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8. The output doesn’t normally exceed 530 PS (523 hp / 390 kW) and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque, but various upgrades along with an ECU tune raise it to 650 PS (641 hp / 478 kW) and 920 Nm (678 lb-ft).
The tuner specifically mentions filter deletion, replacing the entire exhaust system with a sportier model culminating in four carbon-fiber tips, and calibrating the ECU. There is no word on transmission modifications (if any) and acceleration times.
You will easily recognize the Manhart MHX7 650 by the marque’s signature black-and-pale-gold wrap, carbon-fiber side mirrors, new splitter and diffuser, and side canards. Rounding off the stylish image are Y-spoke rims sized 23 inches across and a 25mm (1-inch) drop in ride height thanks to shortened coupling rods.
Prices remain to be revealed.
