Both the Lamborghini Urus and the BMW X7 M60i are extremely capable SUVs, but while the former prioritizes acceleration and performance, the latter offers more practicality with its three seat rows. Carwow decided to see how differently the two would perform on the drag strip.
The ultimate SUV from Italy utilizes a 4.0-liter V8 turbocharged to 650 PS (641 hp / 478 kW) and 850 Nm (627 lb-ft) of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission sends the momentum to all four wheels. The standard sprint time is 3.4 seconds, and the top speed is at 305 km/h (189.5 mph).
In turn, the BMW brings a 4.4-liter V8 to the battle, which makes 530 PS (523 hp / 390 kW) and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque. The transmission type and drive configuration are the same, but more power and less weight means the X7 M60i can only reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.5 seconds.
