BMW continues its drive for full electrification with the upcoming premiere of a crossover SUV named the XM. Camera-wielding spies have just sighted it on the North Loop: not in the least bit sluggish, with roaring exhaust and screeching tires, the car looks like a real deal.
There is still plenty of clingy camo wrap all around the bodywork, but there is little doubt that BMW will want to style the XM according to its latest design philosophy. Giant backlit kidney grille, multi-section headlights – you know the drill.
Rumor has it that the top-spec XM will be a plug-in hybrid capable of at least 750 PS (740 hp / 552 kW). It is also alleged to have around 48 kilometers (30 miles) of all-electric driving range.
