The BMW M division has flashed a teaser pic of its upcoming hybrid SUV, the XM, shortly before pulling it from official U.S. website again – whether a coincidence or a deliberate PR stunt, it is up to you to decide what to believe.
The image – which some users saved before its disappearance – shows an illuminated radiator grille and the upper headlamps the likes of those of the latest BMW 7 Series. The grille looks much like what we had already seen on spy shots and patent photos before.
As for the launch date, BMWBlog claims the company plans to unveil the car on September 27, 2022. We have yet to hear from BMW regarding this.
The production-issue BMW XM Hybrid commands 653 PS (644 hp / 480 kW) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque and needs 3.5 seconds for its sprint from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph).
