The Bavarian carmaker has finally revealed its most powerful M vehicle so far. The BMW XM Label Red starts from $185,000 and packs supercar amounts of power.
The powertrain consists of a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 and an electric motor built into an 8-speed A/T. The peak output makes 748 PS (738 hp / 550 kW) and 1,000 Nm (738 lb-ft) of torque. The top speed normally stays capped at 250 km/h (155 mph), but you can pay a premium for a boost to 290 km/h (180 mph).
When tunning on pure electric power, the SUV utilizes a 25.7-kWh traction battery and has up to 83 km (51.6 mi) of range. The top speed in this mode cannot exceed 140 km/h (65 mph).
By default, the car comes equipped with an AWD system featuring an M differential on the rear axle, adaptive shock absorbers, an anti-sway system and performance brakes.
The company plans to make 500 XM Label Red units finished in black with red accents.
