The Bavarian automaker continues work on creating the updated Z4 roadster. In addition, that the car is built on one base with Toyota Supra, it became known about the line of engines that will be used for this car.
Now the BMW Z4 is undergoing road tests. In this case, the machines are equipped with well-proven 3.0-liter turbocharged V6, known under the indices B58M1 and B5801. The first unit will be delivered to the stock version of the car, and the second will receive the version of the M40i. Power plants will be 335 and 385 horsepower respectively.
By the way, the 385-strong version of the engine will not be available to European buyers, as it does not comply with the environmental standards of European standards. At the same time, the 335-strong version of the modification is available in almost all markets. Basic versions of the BMW Z4 will receive a gasoline turbocharged engine with a payback of 180 to 248 horsepower.
