BMW introduces Z4 in Pebble Beach

BMW has revealed the First Edition of its Z4 roadster at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance which has recently opened for the media in California, USA.

The car is painted metallic orange and features adaptive matrix-LED headlights, anthracite-colored soft top, glossy body parts and 19-inch dual-finish wheels.

The interior offers leather-draped power seats with memory, lighting, a hi-end speaker set, a multimedia center with a touchscreen display, a digital dashboard and a HUD.

According to the company, the weight of the new BMW Z4 is distributed between the axles in a perfect 50/50 ratio to guarantee effortless steering. The combination of a relatively small wheelbase with large wheel spans further contributes to the driving comfort.

The roadster uses a 3.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with 340 hp (254 kW) and accelerates 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 4.6 seconds.

On the technical side of things, the car also has an electronically-controlled rear differential, performance brakes, and sport-grade suspension with adjustable shock absorbers.

The BMW Z4 will celebrate its worldwide premiere at the Paris International Motor Show in October. The manufacturer will be revealing more details about it closer to the premiere date.
