The German performance tuner RaceChip Chiptuning GmbH & Co. KG has finally got around to the latest BMW Z4 M40i (G29) roadster. The car’s twin-turbo, six-cylinder B58 mill has gained a substantial boost from an ECU tune alone.
Once upgraded with the GTS Black chip, the open-top ride increased its dyno performance numbers by a healthy 63 hp (47 kW) and 118 Nm (87 pound-feet) of torque. It now concludes the 100-200 km/h (62-124 mph) sprint in 9.64 seconds, which is 2.26 s faster than the factory-guaranteed 11.9 s.
