Interested in a service-mileage BMW Z8?

This 20-year-old BMW Z8, which will soon cross the auction block, is being estimated at $500,000 USD or close thanks to having 310 kilometers (192 miles) under its belt.

The seller claims the roadster was only ever driven to a service center for routine maintenance and back. As such, it is in pristine condition with no defects whatsoever. The exterior, interior and both roof designs enclosed with the auction lot (removable hardtop and folding soft top) are black.

The car is well equipped with an AC, heated seats, power options, Xenon headlamps, an audio system, and a CD changer. It is also prepped for a mobile phone (or what passed for it back in its era), but lacks an infotainment system in the modern sense of the word.

The same car was evaluated at $250,000 USD five years ago, but ended up changing hands for $440,000. The current price expectation is even higher at half a million.

BMW put together around 5,700 such cars in 1999–2006, exporting slightly more than 2,500 to the United States. The model inherited its 4.9-liter naturally aspirated V10 engine from the E39-gen BMW M5, and used it to drive the wheels with 400 PS (394 hp / 294 kW).
