Brabus tunes an electric surfboard for a change

The renowned tuning company has decided to mix things up a bit and release something unrelated to cars: a tuned electric surfboard. Only 77 examples will be made and sold at eye-watering €19,900.

The board has been co-designed with surfboard manufacturer Awake and is closely based on a mass-market board of that company. It is made completely out of carbon fiber and packs a powerful electric motor that can accelerate it 0-50 km/h (0-31 mph) in three seconds on water. It is 179 cm long and 62 cm wide (roughly 70 x 24 inches large).

Compared to the stock Awake surfboard, the exclusive Brabus version features a special red-and-black color scheme and a new motor mode called Brabus. Switching to Brabus Mode bumps the top speed to 55 km/h (34 mph) and tunes the acceleration to be as fast as technically possible.
