Bugatti Spartacus, the Unwanted One: To be or not to be?

Let us be straight: it can be excruciatingly hard to understand at times whether your favorite car company is telling you the truth or feeding you bullshit. Both Porsche and Lamborghini have repeatedly stated that SUVs aren’t just a thing in their universe. That they just aren’t compatible with their brand values, etcetera, etcetera. First came the Cayenne, the Urus followed, and no one felt the need to explain themselves for a moment. Looks like brand values are not the only kind of values a company has to consider…

This is why, when Bugatti CEO Stephan Winkelmann says his company is not interested in following in the footsteps of Lamborghini and Porsche, we here at FormaCar tend to remain just a tad skeptical. And, when we see quality 3D renders of the marque’s unborn and allegedly also unwanted SUV, we can’t help imagining the ultra-opulent ride on public roads. It isn’t that hard, either.

These particular pics are a work of independent artist, Sajdin Osmancevic. The Spartacus doesn’t look much like their Chiron, but we wouldn’t be surprised, given their different backgrounds. What captivates us is how elegant and well-proportioned the vehicle looks with its panoramic glass roof, suitably huge wheels, and video cameras where side mirrors usually are. The whole thing also gives off a distinct retro vibe, which may or may not be to your liking.

What are your thoughts? Will we be seeing anything like the Bugatti Spartacus in production soon?
