When the ultra-opulent Bugatti Centodieci was leaving its podium at the Monterey Car Week, it first had to drive onto a car hauler truck that would then take it to the garage. Inexplicably, no one bothered to remove the cloth cover from it before that.
The driver proceeded to try and drive a cloth-covered Centodieci and came within inches of crashing what is officially recognized as one of the world’s most expensive vehicles. It baffles us just what prompted this behavior, since the car has already been revealed and did not need concealing.
All went well, though, with the U.S. $8,000,000 vehicle never receiving as much as a scratch.
The Bugatti Centodieci has been designed as a tribute to the legendary EB110 SS series. Each example comes powered by a 8.0-liter W12 engine rated at 1,600 hp (1,193 kilowatts). The total production run amounts to 10 copies.
