Jewelry maker Asprey and supercar manufacturer Bugatti have teamed up to launch a series of art objects – Easter eggs, each of which pays homage to the carmaker’s past in some way and comes with a unique NFT attached.
Only 111 units will be made, with the diamond-encrusted eggs costing from U.S. $200,000. The shells are manufactured from carbon fiber and adorned with a mesh made from either silver or gold. The sculpted shape itself is an homage to Ettore Bugatti’s father’s words that ‘an egg is the perfect shape of all.’
In turn, the elephant badges reference a similar ornament used on the Bugatti Type 41 Royale. Cracking open an egg reveals a miniature replica of the company’s Molsheim HQ, but we are going to have to take Bugatti’s word for it since there are no photos yet.
