Bugatti Bolide hits the Villa d’Este party

Even as a concept, the Bugatti Bolide had everything in the right places to amaze the masses with its exterior design. Limited to a handful of units priced from €4.2 million, it’s quite a unicorn – making watching this nine-minute show video quite worthwhile.

The French hypercar arrived at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d’Este in Italy this weekend. It wore blue to the occasion and sounded noticeably different from the Chiron model it was originally based upon, despite sharing the 8.0-liter quad-turbo W16 with it.

In its factory form, the Bolide produces 1,600 PS (1,578 hp / 1,177 kW) and 1,600 Nm (1,180 lb-ft) of torque, which makes it downright scary to drive given the curb weight of 1,450 kilograms (3,200 lbs). Pouring high-octane fuel in bumps the output to 1,850 PS (1,824 hp / 1,360 kW) and 1,850 Nm (1,364 lb-ft).

Only 40 units will be built and offered starting from €4,200,000 before options. The first deliveries will be made in 2024.
