Video: Bugatti Bolide gets tested in an airbase

In late 2020, Bugatti came out with its most extreme Chiron hypercar to date – the Bolide. A year after it debuted, the company confirmed that 40 units would be made, the first one set to ship in 2024. It has now released a video showing the ultimate car in action.

Despite being weighed down by a 16-cylinder engine rated at 1,600 PS (1,578 hp / 1,177 kW), the Bolide weighs in at just 1,450 kilos (~3,200 pounds) without the driver. This is thanks to its all-new body made completely from carbon fiber. You can now see for yourself what this powerhouse looks and sounds like on the autobahn.

The customers who ordered the Bolide paid from €4,000,000 each. Every car comes equipped with a fire extinguishing system and a HANS (Head and Neck Support) device. A free track day pass is included with the purchase.
