Bugatti Bolide crops up at the Le Mans track wearing an aero kit

In case you missed it, the Bugatti Bolide hypercar that the company continues working on before the planned release next year showed up at the 24 Hours of Le Mans this weekend.

The vehicle is currently going through an extensive range of tests to ensure adequate downforce and optimal handling in all scenarios. The world’s best-reputed racetracks look like ideal destinations for these tests.

When finished, the Bolide is expected to produce around three metric tons of downforce, largely owing to an innovative body kit consisting of a splitter, a diffuser, fender vents and a rear wing, as well as many other parts. The automaker has even come up with a special side mirror housing design aimed at deflecting as much air as possible.
