Following in the tire tracks of the record-breaking Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ is the new Chiron Pur Sport, optimized for maximum steering and cornering performance.
The hypercar sports a redesigned front end, a fixed rear wing, and a large new diffuser. The new kit improves downforce, which, along with a further weight reduction (50 kg / 110 lbs) and a lower center of gravity, results in noticeably enhanced dynamics.
The old eight-liter W16 still churns out its standard 1,500 hp (1,119 kW) and up to 1,600 Nm (1,180 lb-ft) of torque, but its RPM count rises by 200 to 6,900 RPM, while the elasticity rises by 40%. The transmission is 80% new, with revised (tighter) gear ratios, among other things.
Aside from that, the Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport boasts a new stabilization system, a new drive mode called Sport+, stiffer suspension (65% stiffer on the front axle and 33% on the rear one), a titanium exhaust system, aerodynamically shaped wheels with enhanced brake cooling vents, and Bugatti Sport Cup 2 R tires co-designed with Michelin.
The Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport will enter production in the second half of 2020. The batch will include 16 vehicles priced at €3.2 million apiece.
