Bugatti rolls out the first production batch of the Chiron Super Sport 300+

Bugatti CEO Stephan Winkelmann promised to begin assembling the ultra-fast Chiron Super Sport 300+ hypercar series in 2021, and stayed true to that promise: the first eight units are completed.

The suffix ‘300+’ refers to an unofficial speed record set by a pre-production car on the Ehra-Lessien high-speed track. According to the company, it was able to accelerate the hypercar to 490.484 kilometers per hour, or 304.7 mph.

The Chiron Super Sport 300+ will be coming in a batch of just 30 production units priced from €3,500,000. Compared to the standard Chiron, it has a different, cleaner body design optimized for high-end aerodynamics. Power is provided by the same W16, but boosted to 1,600 PS (1,578 hp / 1,177 kW).

The orange stripes running down the middle of the body pay homage to other record-breaking Bugatti vehicles of the past.
