Wrapping up its series of announcements, Bugatti has presented a new Bugatti Chiron Sport hypercar at the Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland. The vehicle will be made available soon with prices starting at €2.65M.
Owing to the brand’s somewhat fanatic dedication to the use of carbon fiber, the new Bugatti Chiron Sport weighs even less than its not-so-sporty counterpart. Perhaps most remarkable is a pair of carbon windshield wipers – as far as we know, there isn’t another series-produced car in the world which comes with these installed. Then there is a set of new light alloy wheels and a number of similar upgrades.
Bugatti says their new Bugatti Chiron Sport is the prime choice for those who can’t imagine their life without the thrill of lightning-fast driving. To that end, it outfitted the vehicle with ever stiffer shock absorbers, gave it a spectacular new body kit and fine-tuned the steering correspondingly.
The engine compartment of the Bugatti Chiron Sport houses the same 8.0L W16 monster motor with 1,500 hp and 1,600 Nm of torque as the base model. It gets the car going at 100 km/h (62 mph) in blazing fast 2.4 seconds and evolves speeds reaching all the way up to 420 km/h (260+ mph). Its dynamic performance is reported to be mostly unchanged.
