Famous car blogger Wilco Blok has posted an image that he claims shows the dashboard of a hypercar coming to replace the Bugatti Chiron. It looks heavily inspired by mechanical watch designs and has a curious speedometer gauge that maxes out at 550 km/h (341 miles per hour).
The panel consists of three round gauge wells, the leftmost one containing three gauges in it. Just what they show is impossible to see at this resolution. It is even unclear whether the dash is digital or not. There seems to be a digital mini-display below the speedometer, possibly serving the same function as the gauge above, but that’s about it. Still, we wouldn’t be too surprised if the whole instrument panel turned out to be digital.
A recent post from another blogger, who showed a gift box he received from Bugatti, seems to confirm the authenticity of the spy shot. It had an image of a speedometer on the lid that had a very similar-looking design. Furthermore, Bugatti-Rimac CEO Mate Rimac said a while ago that the company wanted to try to keep something like the “analog spirit” alive in the interior of the next Bugatti, to make it truly stand out from the competition.
