Lego to release Bugatti Chiron set on June 1

Lego is working on a $300 brick set imitating the top-of-the-line French hypercar Bugatti Chiron. Sales will start on June 1, 2018.
The only official photo so far available partially shows a wheel and the front bumper of the brick vehicle. The set is marked as “Hard difficulty”, which means it is going to be quite a challenge for those who don’t often play this sort of constructor games.
Other entries in the Lego Technic series often contain actual mechanical parts such as air pedals and electric motors, so maybe the Bugatti Chiron set gets some of these as well.
Lego had already made its way in the automotive history more than once. Porsche had built a meticulous, life-sized replica of a 911 Turbo 3.0 supercar for a museum in Stuttgart. McLaren had done the same with its 720S supercar, necessitating 267,000 brick parts and 2,000 hours of work.
Back in the real world, Chiron has recently replaced Veyron in the Bugatti lineup. Driven by a monstrous seven-liter W16 turbo engine with 1,500 horsepower (1,120 kW), it can accelerate to 100 km/h (62 mph) in breathtaking 2.5 seconds and ultimately reach 450 km/h (280 mph).
