At the Geneva Motor Show three years ago, Bugatti showed us what it called the La Voiture Noire, or “The Black Vehicle”. The life-sized hypercar mockup was destined to evolve into a truly unique ride for a mystery client – and it has finally been spotted this weekend near the company headquarters in Molsheim, France.
The Bugatti La Voiture Noire draws inspiration from the venerable Type 57 SC Atlantic model while taking advantage of the state-of-the-art tech that the 8.0-liter W16 Chiron powertrain offers. Handcrafted carbon panels constitute much of its bodywork and are unique. The same applies to the lighting all around and the six-pipe exhaust system.
The interior remains a complete mystery, however.It is reported that the customer paid around €16,500,000 for the La Voiture Noire.
