Bugatti previews its future hypercar in a video

Bugatti’s chief designer Achim Anscheidt has retired after 19 years, conceding his position in the company to his VP Frank Hale. As a means of saying goodbye, Bugatti–Rimac has posted a video on YouTube highlighting Anscheidt’s works, including a brand-new part-electric hypercar that remains to be revealed.

The famous design director supervised the creation of the Veyron Grand Sport, Veyron Super Sport and Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse, as well as the model’s numerous special editions. These included the Veyron Pur Sang executed in naked aluminum and carbon fiber, as well as the zebra-patterned Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport L’Or Blanc. He also designed the six special versions of the Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse roadster dedicated to the key personalities in the history of the Bugatti brand.

The footage also demonstrates the entire Chiron lineup from the pre-production racer named Vision Gran Turismo to the technically related models like Bolide, Centodieci, Divo, La Voiture Noire, and Mistral.

Two vehicles that never made it into production have also been highlighted. One of them is the 2009 Galibier sedan that the corporation presiding over the Bugatti brand never approved into production due to its appearance. The other one is the front-engined 2015 Atlantic Concept, which was set to receive a powerful V8 but ended up axed in the aftermath of the Dieselgate.
