Buick gets an electric sedan & wagon duo ready to roll in China

The Buick Electra lineup for China will soon expand to incorporate a new sedan and wagon. The Electra L and LT have just debuted at the Beijing Auto Expo. Their production will be handled by the SAIC-GM joint enterprise in the country.

Most technical specifications are still unknown. Buick does mention that both cars will ship with a single e-motor on the rear axle, driving it with 347 PS (342 hp / 255 kW), and would have over 700 km (435 miles) of range on a charge. It’s also official that both cars are roughly five meters (16.4 feet) long with three meters (9.84 ft.) of wheelbase.

It looks like the company plans to use the Ultium EV architecture for both models. The availability dates and pricing remain unknown.
