Buick has shed light on the technical parameters of its Electra E4 model for China that it introduced in mid-June. The coupe-like SUV will be available with two main powertrain options – single-motor and dual-motor. The latter will be known as ‘E4 GS’, marking the first time Buick put the GS badge on an electric car. Prices will start from 189,900 Yuan.
In its most basic version, the car will hit the wheels with 245 PS (242 hp / 180 kW) and 330 Nm (243 lb-ft) of torque. It will be able to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in 7.6 seconds and ultimately accelerate to 180 km/h (112 mph). A 65-kWh LiFePo4 battery will give it up to 530 km (329 miles) of range per charge.
The Electra E4 GS ups the ante with two motors, 287 PS (283 hp / 211 kW) and 465 Nm (343 lb-ft) of torque. It concludes the standard sprint in 6.2 seconds and has the same top speed as the non-GS version. The battery is larger in this spec – 79.7 kWh, so it lets you cover up to 620 km (385 miles) without recharging. The GS modification also comes with its own exterior details, larger 20-inch wheels, Brembo brakes and sport seats.
Trim options announced so far include a 30-inch display, surround view cameras, a panoramic glass roof, an ambient lighting in 121 colors, and the SuperCruise self-driving suite.
