The facelifted GL8 comes in a wider range of trims and boasts a bold, if controversial, exterior design.
The front end in particular looks completely different with a giant trim-specific grille dominating the view. For example, the Avenir spec comes with a widened chrome grille, while the ES has a somewhat smaller grille and a sported-up nose.
Trim options include Matrix LEDs for headlights, 18-inch wheels and power-assisted seats that can swivel around to ease things for people with disabilities. The GL8 Legacy has adaptive cruise control, electronic parking brake, lanekeeping and lane departure warning preinstalled as standard features.
A new spec based on the GL8 ES is also now available, offering improved rear seat geometry that should make it easier for children and elderly people to get in or out. This trim level also includes a digital dashboard sized 12 inches corner-to-corner, an infotainment system of the same size, power-assisted sliding doors, a powered tailgate and folding tables in the cabin.
