Buick LaCrosse facelift debuts in China

Car manufacturer Buick has taken the wraps off its facelifted Buick sedan/saloon series meant for the Chinese market.

The front fascia now looks styled after the Opel Insignia, complete with the radiator grille, narrow-slit LED headlights, and a slightly revised front bumper.

Further changes include exhaust tips, rear bumper, and rear blinkers that are now visually brought together with a chromed stripe.

The refreshed Buick LaCrosse ships with a 2.0-liter turbocharged V4 engine rated at 240 hp (179 kW) and 350 Nm (258 pound-feet) of torque. The transmission is nine-speed automatic. Later on, another version will ship with a 1.3-liter engine capable of 160 hp (120 kW).

The facelifted series is currently being produced in Buick’s factory in Shanghai, China, and will not be available outside of its home country.
