This 1957 Buick Roadmaster is a barely salvageable barn find

Custom motorhomes based on the 1957 Buick Roadmaster weren’t exactly rare back in their glory days, but seeing one on the streets today is unlikely. This example could make an exception, but its owner found it too much of a hassle to restore.

The initial impression is that the vehicle requires a complete overhaul, long and expensive, to ride the streets again. Judging by the exterior, it got into a road accident a while ago that saw its hood fly of the hinges and the engine displaced.

The owner bought the Roadmaster at an auction. The listing mentioned a mission gearbox and a broken windshield, but said that the tires still held pressure well. Photos made in the living department were even more painful to look at – everything there is dirty, broken and otherwise rundown to the point when a complete rebuild is inevitable.

However, judging by the video, the new owner ultimately felt it was simply too much for him to handle, both in terms of time and resources. As such, he will be selling it to anyone willing to dedicate their own resources into bringing the dilapidated classic back on to the streets.
