Volkswagen has been caught road-testing its all-new electric van, the ID. Buzz, quite a few times lately, always hiding its body behind its trademark ‘smart’ camo. However, while debuting the ID.5 coupe-SUV earlier this week, the company graced us with a few quick shots of a production-ready ID. Buzz.
As you can see on the images, the van still has vivid color stripes covering its entire body, but at least the infamous ‘smart camo’ wrap is gone, revealing a stylish front end with headlights and lower grille.
The tail is not shown, and the interior is obstructed by colorful graphics. Even so, we have already seen what the cabin looks like in a test vehicle – browse through our gallery to see for yourself if you haven’t yet.
The ID. Buzz will come based on the MEB platform that supports 2WD and 4WD configurations. Power-wise, it is expected to produce around 200 PS (200 hp / 150 kW) in its base spec and go beyond 300 PS (300 hp / 225 kW) in the top spec.
We should learn more when the model hits the spotlight next year.
