Chinese automaker BYD announced last week that all of its EVs would be euqipped with Blade-badged LiFePO4 batteries. The new Qin Plus EV sedan priced from 129,800 CNY is no exception.
Buyers can choose from two motor options, one rated at 136 PS (134 hp / 100 kW) and 180 Nm (132 lb-ft) and the other one at 183 PS (180 hp / 135 kW) and 280 Nm (207 lb-ft). The former comes with 47.5-kWh and 57-kWh batteries to choose from, while the latter can benefit from a larger 71.7-kWh pack.
NEDC-rated driving range for the three battery sizes mentioned above is reported as 400, 500 and 600 kilometers, respectively. Limiting your speed to 60 km/h is said to extend these ranges by 100, 130, and 120 kilometers, respectively.
Standard equipment includes six airbags, a rearview camera, a swiveling multimedia screen, HVAC, and panoramic roof.
