Cadillac just made an official presentation of two year 2020 models, the CT4-V and the CT5-V. Both share their principal tech with the CTS-V, but neither has a V8 engine on offer – a major disappointment for many fans of the U.S. brand.
The sporty-looking СT4-V sedan/saloon follows in the footsteps of both the CT5 and the CT5-V. It boasts a characteristic front fascia with a massive radiator grille, narrow headlights and vertical DRLs. The body outlines are smooth but angular, and there is a small spoiler and quad exhaust tips at the rear.
The cabin design approaches that of the CT5, but there are a few differences. The doors and the dashboard are wrapped in leather, and there are matte metallic trim elements throughout.
Powering the Cadillac CТ4-V is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine rated at 320 hp (239 kW) and 500 Nm (369 lb×ft) of torque. Its predecessor packed a much more potent 3.6-liter V6 with 464 hp (346 kW) and 600 Nm (443 lb×ft).
With its 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 mill producing 355 hp (265 kW) alongside 540 Nm (400 lb×ft) of torque, the new СT5-V is a bit better equipped, but it still lacks the sheer power of its predecessor, the CTS-V.
Cadillac says it will reveal the new CT4 in a month.
