Cadillac is no alien to motorsports: it is present in the IMSA and won the championship last year. Its plans for 2022 span farther than defending the title, though: meet the new track-only Cadillac, the GTP.
A pair of teaser pics and a short video only let us a glimpse at a few details. What we also know is that the vehicle is hybrid-electric and will be competing in the Grand Touring Prototype category of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The debut will take place in 2023, after which the car will also try its best at the Rolex 24 Daytona.
The images suggest that the newcomer looks much like the current Cadillac Daytona Prototype that won the tournament last year. A full premiere remains scheduled for later this year.
