The North American car manufacturer has shared a teaser of its upcoming racecar so far only known as ‘GTP’. The unveiling will take place on next Thursday, June 9, 2022, but the car will only hit the track during the 24 Hours of Daytona in January.
The Cadillac GTP combines stylistic features of traditional racing cars with those of the marque’s production models. Among other things, it sports recognizable headlights and a large rear wing.
Cadillac Exterior Design executive confirmed earlier that all parallels were deliberate. He said the company wanted its racecar to have easily recognizable Cadillac looks.
From the technical perspective, the only thing official about the GTP is that it is a hybrid vehicle. All other details and parameters remain unannounced.
