Check out a 96-year-old Cadillac that’s still roadworthy

An anonymous car collector from Russia is selling a Cadillac automobile made in 1927. Back when it was produced, the convertible was known as the Dual Cowl Sport Phaeton (see video).

The seller claims that this particular car was made specifically for the New York International Auto Show and simultaneously celebrated 25 years of Cadillac Automobile Company. The bodywork for it was custom-made by a coachbuilder named Fisher. Only three such vehicles saw the light of the day, but the seller claims his is the only surviving example.

Powering the collector’s rarity is a 5.6-liter V8 rated at 95 PS (94 hp / 70 kW). The car is reportedly in good condition and still drivable despite having 87,400 km (54,308 miles) under its belt. A full package of tools and accessories is included.

As for the selling price, it amounts to a cool $1,180,000 in U.S. dollars.
