Hennessey boosts Cadillac CT5-V to 1,014 PS

Hennessey Performance has unveiled its own take on the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing, which it styles ‘the world’s fastest ICE sedan’ and ‘Hercules in a tuxedo’.

The biggest improvement comes in the form of a 6.2-liter V8 boosted to 1,014 PS (1,000 hp / 745 kW) and 1,310 Nm (966 lb-ft) of torque. The modifications include, but are not limited to, new valves, a high-end turbocharger setup, modified cylinder head assembly, and larger injectors.

The tuned saloon dwarfs its stock counterpart with its 677 PS (668 hp / 498 kW). It also sprints 0-97 km/h (0-60 mph) in 2.5 seconds – a full second faster than the standard car.

Hennessey promises to start production in August.
