Europe, China and Middle East will NOT be getting the new Cadillac CT6-V

Sales of the Cadillac CT6-V performance sedan/saloon have recently begun in the USA. Now, the company says it will not ship the car to Europe and many other parts of the world.

The corresponding statement came from the PR Director of the American company, so it is probably as official as it gets. Speaking in an interview, he added that the CT6-V would not be arriving on China or Middle East markets, either.

No official reason was provided for this decision, but given the limited production run of only 275 copies, the causes are purely economic.

The CT6-V series comes powered by a 4.2-liter, twin-turbo Blackwing V8 engine rated at 557 hp (415 kW) and 867 Nm (639 lb-ft) of torque, paired with a ten-speed automatic transmission. The AWD system features a limited-slip rear differential (mechanical) and even supports limited rear-wheel steering. Another major feature comes in the form of four-piston Brembo brakes. Finally, the suspension also represents a considerable upgrade from the series, now coming with adaptive shock absorbers.
