Hennessey gives the Cadillac CTS-V a boost to 1,000 hp

Even as Cadillac prepares to discontinue its CTS-V luxury sedan line, car tuner Hennessey demonstrates us that it can still more than hold its own against the competition. The latest video it published shows a CTS-V tuned up to1,000 hp (745 kW) and 1,310 Nm (966 lb-ft) of torque.

In its stock version, the car comes equipped with a 6.2L V8 engine guaranteed for 640 hp (477 kW) and 855 Nm (638 lb-ft) of torque. It sprints from standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.7 seconds and maxes out at 322 km/h (200 mph).

The Cadillac CTS-V by Hennessey is a much faster ride. It concludes the standard sprint in 2.9 seconds and covers a quarter-mile in 10.5 seconds, accelerating to 217 km/h or 135 mph as it does so. No special kind of fuel is required, either: the car only needs ON 93 to achieve all the results mentioned above.

The HPE1000 power kit is compatible with all CTS-V models issued between 2016 and 2018. Once upgraded, every car goes through multiple tests both at the dyno and out in the open.
